Former Utican Died This Morning at Flint, Mich.
Ilion, Oct. 14 – William L. Bassett, formerly of the Ilion and later of Utica, died this morning at Flint, Mich. He had been ill since Wednesday, apoplexy being the cause of death. He is survived by his wife, one son, H.M. Bassett, several managers of the Weston-Mott Wheel Works at Flint, and one daughter, all of Flint.

Mrs. Mary Bassett
Mary Babcock Bassett, 90, widow of William L. Bassett, died at her home in Flint, Mich., yesterday.
She was born in Unadilla Forks and was the daughter of Henry H. Babcock. She was married to Mr. Bassett, who kept a store there, and years ago the family moved to Washington Mills, and later to Utica. After living here years the family removed to Ilion. After his death the widow went to Flint, where she had since lived with her daughter. She was a member of the Episcopal Church. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Cornelia B. Kapp and Mrs. Frank Mann, Flint, and a sister, Mrs. Mary J. Rider, Erie, Pa.
