FATAL ACCIDENT – On Saturday, the 22nd inst., a little girl, seven years old, named Mary Ann Bassett, daughter of Daniel and Mary Bassett, of Bryngrose, near Llanelly, was playing with some other children of her own age, near a well, at Llwynhendy, which contained about four feet of water, when she fell in and was drowned. A woman named Mary Ann Jones went to the well for some water, and perceived the child at the bottom, when she gave an alarm, and the neighbors hastened to the spot and raised the child, but she was quite dead.
