While on vacation, a co-worker of mine ran across the following Bassett grave in St. Mary Star of the Sea, Cemetery, in Lawrence, New York. I have found him in the 1915 State Census of Hempstead, New York and have found his wife and two children in the 1920 census of Hempstead, New York, but can nothing further on him with the exception of the patent included below. The 1915 State census also lists a brother George Bassett (machinist) living with him on Central Avenue in Hempstead.
