Back in October of 2009, I featured a picture of an unknown Bassett from South Fork, Cambria County, Pennsylvania. It was among the family items for William Henry Bassett, a son of William Bassett of the #251B William Bassett of Calstock, Cornwall family. The link to that picture is below.

Thanks to Leslie Bassett of Pennsylvania, I have now linked the George Bassett family of South Fork, Cambria County, Pennsylvania to this same family. This George may be the Bassett in the above picture. The obituary below gives information that John Bassett had a brother named George Bassett This is the #267B George Bassett of South Fork family line.

Janet & John Bassett
BASSETT, Janet & BASSETT, John, Mrs. Janet Bassett, aged 73 years, died at her home about 4 o’clock Thursday afternoon, and her husband, John Bassett aged 69 years, died at the Bassett residence at 7 o’clock Friday morning. Their deaths were due to general debility. Mrs. Bassett has been ailing for some time. Her husband was ill about three weeks, but was not compelled to take his bed until about one week ago. The deceased are survived by the following children: Mrs. Robert Wise of Pittsburgh, Robert White and Jemina White, both at home; John Bassett, Jr., of Windber, and Mrs. John Jarvey of this place. Mr. Bassett also is survived by one brother, George Bassett, of this place. Mrs. Bassett was married twice. The bodies have been prepared for burial by Undertaker George Brothers. A double funeral will be held from the Bassett residence at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon. Interment will be made in South Fork Cemetery.
