For those that attended the reunion, we got to hear Richard Pickering, Deputy Executive Director of Plimouth Patuxet Musuems talk about William Bassett and the ship Fortune. I have received the following from him inviting all of us to another talk either in person or via Zoom. See his announcement below.
I wanted you to know that I will be lecturing at the Museum on December 2nd at noon Eastern Daylight Time both live and on ZOOM. The topic will be the arrival of the Fortune through the ship’s seizure by French pirates. The lecture is free because it’s being underwritten by the Mass Humanities Council. If anyone in the Bassett Family Association would like to attend, they can register through Eventbrite at www.plimoth.org and we send a video recording to everyone who attended the lecture. So family members would have a record of what I talked about on Saturday night.
