Railroad Pays Tribute to Line’s Vice President

      SPRINGFIELD, Mo. Feb. 1 – (AP) – Funeral services for Louis Napoleon

Bassett, 61 vice president of the Missouri and Arkansas railroad, will be held at 4 o’clock Sunday afternoon in the Benton Avenue Methodist church here.

Operations of the railroad are to be suspended for two minutes during the services, honoring the memory of the dead official, it was announced last night at Harrison, Ark.

Mr. Bassett, who has been vice president of the Missouri and Arkansas lines since April 16, 1935, died at Harrison this morning, after a 10-day illness of pneumonia.

Mr. Bassett is survived by two sons, Dr. Clifford Bassett of Cushing, Okla., and W. Howard Bassett of Harrison, Ark. Howard Bassett is superintendent of the Missouri and Arkansas railroad.
