Richard Edward Bass of Reform, Alabama
May 26, 1966 ? March 10, 2021
Richard Edward Bass, age 54, passed away March 10, 2021 at his residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his father, W. H. Bass; older brother, Doug Bass; grandparents, Hoyt and Lena Bass and Lyhue and Mary Lou Harrell; brother-in-law, Ernie McDaniel and his in-laws, Tom and Julia Falls.
Richard is survived by his mother, Mary ?Betty? Harrell Bass; his daughter, Whitney Bass; daughter-in-law, Amanda Bass; Whitney?s mother, Shellee Bass; brother, Steve Bass (Sandra); sisters, Pamela Kirby, Debra Bass Herring, Rene McDaniel (Mack), Samantha McGee and Lynn Robertson (Kevin) and sister-in-law, Debbie Bass. He is survived by a host of nieces and nephews who he loved to aggravate, but loved them none the less and also cousins and friends.
Richard was born May 26, 1966 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and a lifelong resident of Reform, Alabama. He enjoyed working in the tree service industry, first with Asplundh and then with his Daddy at Bass Tree Service. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting arrowheads.
Richard was kind and soft spoken and would have given the shirt off his back to a person in need. He was overjoyed and looking forward to welcoming his first granddaughter, Alie Grayce into the world. He will forever watch over her.
