Grace L. Lowmaster
January 23, 1920 - July 12, 2010
Grace L. Lowmaster, 90, of Carrolltown died Monday at St. Benedict Manor surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Barnesboro, daughter of the late Francis and Grace (Bassett) Luther.
Surviving are nine children: Adrian and wife, Martha Whiteford, Gerald and wife, Dolly Weakland, Sharon Born and husband, George, Rodney, Brent and wife, Grace Bender, Tim and wife, Mary Jo Wentz, and Tammy Walker, all of Carrolltown, Glen of Carrolltown and wife, Linda Karlheim of Cambria Care Center, Ebensburg, and Sheila Coffman of Hobart, Oklahoma; 22 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
Grace was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her husband, George F. Lowmaster, who died July 8, 2000; five brothers: Edwin, John, Albert, Gerald and Norman Luther; and a sister, Lillian Abrams.
Grace was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 7783, St. Benedict.
Friends will be received from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Moriconi Funeral Home Inc., Northern Cambria, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2010, with Pastor John Bennett officiating. Interment will be in the family cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Grace's memory to John Carroll Area Ambulance Association or Carroolltown Fire Company.
