  Notes	Find-a-Grave Obituary Velma Bass Velma Jeanette Bass, age 74, of Lindstrom, died Monday, Jan. 18, 1993, at the Margaret Parmly Residence in Chisago City. She was born Feb. 26, 1918, to George and Ruth Hulshizer in Missoula, Mont. Velma and her husband, Charles moved to Lindstrom from Spokane, Wash., in 1977 to be near grandchildren during their school years. She was an active member of the Eastern Stars and was past Worthy Matron of Lakeview Chapter 281. Velma and Charles enjoyed traveling throughout the country, and in recent years spent winters in Texas and North Carolina. She was known by family and friends as a good cook, for her warm smile and willingness to help friends. She will be sadly missed by family and friends. Velma is survived by her husband, Charles; daughter, Ruth Bass of Oregon; sisters: Dorothy Flanagan and husband, Walter of Chico, Calif.; Gertrude Anderson and husband, Gene of Missoula, Mont.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral service were held Thursday, Jan. 21 at Grandstrand Funeral Home, Lindstrom, with Rev. Norman Yoder officiating. Interment, Hillside Cemetery, Center City, Minn.
