Jack Edward Bass
Jack Edward Bass Sr., 72, of Summit, died Dec. 4, 2004, at his residence.
Visitation is noon Tuesday at Catchings Funeral Home of McComb, until services there at 2 p.m. The Rev. Jon Kaufman will officiate. Burial will be in Felder's Campground Cemetery.
Mr. Bass was born Jan. 31, 1932, in Harrison County. He was the son of Wade David Bass and Ruby Heitzman Bass.
He was retired justice court judge in Hinds County. He was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran of the Korean War. He attended Pearl River United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Central High School in Jackson and a graduate of Mississippi College. Mr. Bass was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jack E. Bass Jr.; and one sister, Mary McDaniel.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Felder Bass of Summit; one son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Tammy Bass of Ft. Mill, S.C.; one brother, Wade D. Bass and his wife Dauphine of Brandon; three grandchildren, Julia Bass, Robert Bass and Lydia Bass, all of Ft. Mill; two brothers-in-law, Carl Felder and his wife Carolyn of Summit, and J.C. McDaniel of Columbia.
Pallbearers will be Josh Felder, Don Bass, Perry McDaniel, Fred McDaniel, Edwin Rowley and A.B. Alexander.
