Born in Fort Wayne, Joyce graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School. She enjoyed camping, gardening, and spending time with her family. Surviving are her husband, Mark Hauser of Fort Wayne; father, Bryon Erexson of Fort Wayne; children, Matthew Bassett, Jr. and Timothy Bassett both of Fort Wayne, Tommi-Lee Kaufman of Nederland, Colo., and Michael Hauser and Ambrosia Hauser both of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren; siblings, Myron (Becky) Erexson of West Columbia, S.C., Robert (Krista) Erexson of Fort Wayne, Steven Erexson of Auburn, Joseph (Patricia) Erexson of Fort Wayne and Kendra (Todd) Oren of West Columbia S.C. Joyce was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra Lee Erexson. Service is 2 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2016 at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road with calling one hour prior. Vicar Brandon Koble officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Fort Wayne Humane Society.
