Carol Anne Bass
Carol Anne Bass, wife of the late William J. Bass, passed away at home on November 29, 2019, after an extended illness. She was born and raised in St. Louis, MO but spent most of her life in Augusta, Georgia where she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She retired after 21 years with Air Liquide as their administrative assistant. She enjoyed traveling and went on many adventures with her family and friends. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed dancing, loved playing bridge and card games and family gatherings. She also enjoyed trips to the lake and riding the boat. She was crafty and took great pleasure in decorating her home. She liked dressing up and was always impeccably attired. She loved animals and always had pets including a lamb when she was a child. She had a wicked sense of humor and would have you cracking up just being herself. She loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart and was always close to her sisters and brothers, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Bass is preceded in death by her parents, Ervin J. Doerer and Ruth Zacheis- Doerer, her husband William Bass and her nephew Christopher Larkin. She is survived by her daughters Michelle Farthing (Robert) and Lisa Lotspeich (Paul) and her son, William J. Bass, Jr. There are six grandchildren, Melissa, Priscilla Ashley, Lacie, Gene, Justin and Nicole, and one great-grandchild Chloe Grace. She also leaves behind two sisters, Pat Zerillo (Jim), Barbara Larkin (Nick) and two brothers, Dennis Doerer (Nancy) and Danny Doerer (Faith) along with lots and lots of nieces and nephews. There are three pets Molly, Taco and Riley whom she adored and were always her constant companions.
