Robert M. Crawford
(1917-2011)
Robert M. Crawford, 93, of Mosinee, Wisconsin. died Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Schofield, Wisconsin. Born September 6, 1917, in Genoa, Illinois, the son of the late Roy and Cecile (Bassett) Crawford, he married Florence Dieball on July 26, 1941. She preceded him in death on December 26, 1971. On November 6, 1982, he married Betty (Morrill) Kessler. She preceded him in death on March 1, 2011. Bob served in the United States Army during World War II from 1941-1945. He worked as a livestock and grain farmer. Bob was a member of the VFW Genoa Veterans Home, DeKalb county farm bureau and the Wisconsin and Illinois snowmobile clubs.He loved fishing, gardening and snowmobiling.Survivors include a daughter, Rosalie (Jim) Haigh of Lake Tomahawk, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Roger Ullmark and Nicole Ullmark, both of Genoa, Illinois; five great-grandchildren, Harmony, Noah, Baylie, Logan and Bryce; stepdaughter, Linda (David) Dahm of Mosinee; children, Michelle (Dave) Barrett and Scott Dahm, both of Mosinee; three brothers, Milburn (Eleanor) Crawford, Orval Crawford and Keith (Carol) Crawford, all of Genoa, Illinois; and two sisters, Juanita (Lester) Munk of Sycamore, Illinois and Suzanne (Wesley) Leisberg of Union, Illinois.He was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene (Raymond) Bunch and Lotus (Tony) Kubs; and a brother, Burt. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 18, at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee. The Reverend Donald Przybylski will officiate. Burial will be at Liberty Cemetery, Salem, Wisconsin at a later date. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
