Stephen Chervenicky

PLAINFIELD - Stephen Chervenicky, 89, of Plainfield beloved husband of the late Gloria (Bessette) Chervenicky passed away December 5, 2014. He was born June 9, 1925 in Garfield, New Jersey a son of the late Andrew and Anna (Krovenko) Chervenicky. Mr. Chervenicky was a Graduate of Plainfield High School and the former Putnam Trade School. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. Mr. Chervenicky retired as a Superintendant for Schnip Construction Company. He was the Curator of the Haul of Fame Truck Museum in Canterbury. Mr. Chervenicky enjoyed building antique model engines, gardening and yard work. He leaves a son and daughter in law Steven and Cheryl Chervenicky of Olathe, CO., 2 daughters, Karen Chervenicky of Plainfield and Ms. Judy Ames of Norwich. four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by six sisters, Mary Smith, Anna Lis, Helen Turney, Veronica Podurgiel, Elizabeth Star and Margaret Bernier. A Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday (01/24/2015) at 1:00 P.M. at Dougherty Bros. Funeral Home 595 Norwich Rd. Plainfield. There are no calling hours.
