Miss Arline Bona Becomes Bride of Robert P. Bassett
LENOX ? Miss Arline J. Bona, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bona of 1129 East New Lenox Rd., and Robert P. Bassett of 100 Lyman St., Pittsfield, son of Mr. and Mrs. Pierson Bassett of 100 Lyman St., were married this morning.
The wedding took place at 9 in St. Ann?s Church and a reception followed at the home of the bride?s parents.
Mr. Bona escorted his daughter, who was dressed in a Queen Anne style lace and tulle over taffeta gown with mandarin collar, long pointed sleeves and ruffled skirt. Her finger-tip illusion veil was attached to a crown of sequins and seed pearls. On a prayer book, she carried white pompons and ivy with pompon streamers.
Honor Attendant
Miss Kathleen Bassett of Pittsfield, sisters of the bridegroom, was maid of honor. She wore a blue lace and tulle over taffeta gown and matching net and sequin half-hat. Her cascade was of bronze pompons and ivy.
Best man was Leonard Bona, the bride?s brother.
When the couple return from a trip to Alexandria, Va., and Washington, D.C., they will live at 39 Linden St., Pittsfield.
The bride, a waitress at the Penquin Drive-In, attended Lenox High School.
A 1955 graduate of St. Joseph?s High School, Mr. Bassett is employed by Berkshire Frosted Foods Inc.
