  Notes	Memorial To The Pioneer Women of The Western Reserve Middleburg (July 1896) Mr. and Mrs. Wheeler Wellman were followed the next year by Mr. Wellman's father-in-law, Solomon Lovejoy, wife (nee Sirena Bitlis), four sons, and a daughter, Abigail, who married Charles Bassett. The Lovejoy family is one of the best kown in Middleburg. Solomon Lovejoy built the first tavern in the township - it is still occupied by his descendants.
