At six o’clock yesterday afternoon at the Methodist Episcopal Church, in this city, Reverend Z.T. Leavell, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Miss Julia Bass, the beautiful and accomplished daughter of our old fellow citizen, Colonel Nathan Bass, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony. The ceremony was performed by Reverend L.R. Gwaltney in a most impressive manner. The following ladies and gentlemen were the attendants of the bride and groom: Edgar Smith, Miss Kate Rawlias; W.H. Washington, Miss M. Norton; R.J. Keith, Miss Fannie Adams; J.W. Adams, Miss M.E. Gwyn; R.H. Bass, Miss Henry; J.R. Scott, Miss Rose Rawlins. A large number of our citizens were present to witness the ceremony, Miss Julia being one of the favorite young ladies of our city. The bride and groom left on the evening train, followed by the universal congratulations and the prayers and best wishes of all our people. May God bless them with great happiness and prosperity always.
