Wreta L. Bassett
Wreta L. Bassett, 93, of Scott died Friday in Life Care Center of LaGrange. The LaGrange County native was a retired teacher for LaGrange County Schools and widow of Ralph E. who died in 1985. Surviving are daughters, Mary L. Lee of Middlebury, Marilyn Anderson of Kalamazoo, Mich.; Charlotte Miller of Jane Eash, both of Shipshewana, and Elaine Kronewitter of Rolling Prarie; son, Charles F. of Auburn; 25 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. Services are 11 a.m. tomorrow in Scott United Methodist Church, with burial in Scott Cemetery. Calling is 3 to 8 p.m. today in Frurip-May Funeral Home, LaGrange. Preferred memorials are gifts to the church's mission program or Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Foundation.

LaGrange, Ind.: Wreta L. Bassett, 93, 0770N-075E, died April 28, 1995, at the Life Care Center of LaGrange.
She was born Sept. 2, 1901, in LaGrange County, a daughter of Charles B. and Clara (Moak) Hagerty.
On Dec. 31, 1924, she married Ralph E. Bassett, in LaGrange. He died Sept. 12, 1985.
She was retired school teacher from LaGrange County Schools and a lifelong LaGrange County resident. She was a member of the Scott United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women of the church.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Robert (Martha Lou) Lee, Middlebury, Mrs. David (Marilyn) Anderson, Kalamazoo, Mich., Mrs. James (Charlotte) Miller and Mrs. Gerald (Jane) Eash, both of Shipshewana, and Mrs. Paul (Elaine) Kronewitter, Rolling Prairie, one son, Charles F. Bassett, Auburn; 25 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may call from 3-8 p.m. today at the Frurip-May Funeral Home, LaGrange. Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Scott United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mildred McCan officiating (all Ind. times). Burial will be in Scott Cemetery.
