Julia E. Bassett, 92
Marlboro - Julie E. (Kaminski) Bassett, 92, of 35 Essex St., died Monday in her home after an illness. Her husband, George F. Bassett, died in 1965. She leaves two sons, Retired Air Force Chief Master Sergeant Robert F. Bassett of Avon Park, Fla., and Roland J. Bassett of Northboro; two daughters, Lorraine L. Maroney of Marlboro and Marie J. Mullen of Marlboro, with whom she made her home; 13 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Walenty and Palagia (Sulkoski) Kaminski, and lived in Marlboro 86 years.
Mrs. Bassett was a licensed practical nurse and worked ten years at Madonna Hall Infirmary before retiring several years ago. She had previously worked as a nurse at Marlboro Hospital for 20 years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and the Marlboro Senior Citizens.
The funeral will be held tomorrow from the John P. Rowe Funeral Home, 57 Main St., with a Mass at 9 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 22 Prospect St. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are 7:30 to 9 a.m. tomorrow.
