She was a member of Pine Forest Methodist Church. Funeral services will be conducted today at 2 p.m. at Pine Forest Methodist Church, directed by Seymour Funeral Home in Goldsboro. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Surviving are her daughters Elizabeth Olsen of Fayetteville, Myrtle Hodges of Eden and Alene Tibbles of Illinois; sons Dewitt Bass of Wilmington, Wesley Bass of Wilson, Walton Bass of Durham, Milton Bass of Salterpath and Wilbin Bass of Raleigh; sisters Althia and Lillian Herring, both of Mount Olive; 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the church's building fund, 5636 NC 581, Goldsboro 27530.
