Sherline D. Bass
MOUNT OLIVE ? Mrs. Sherline Daniels Bass, 80, formerly of Dunn, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born June 23, 1940 in Sampson County to the late Marion and Annie Howard Daniels. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Bass; and brothers, Leeronald Daniels and Elmond Sherill Daniels.
Sherline was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed working in her garden, watching North Carolina teams play ACC basketball, and Friday night dinners.
Sherline worked for many years as a seamstress for Soffe Clothing Company.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Elam Baptist Church officiated by the Revs. Brandon Glunt and Greg Day. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Craig Bass (Jenny Faircloth) of Dunn, Michael Bass and wife Amy Sue of Fuquay-Varina, and Kenny Bass and wife Bridgette of Mount Olive; brother, Donald Daniels of Godwin; sisters, Iris Stewart of Godwin, Jan Stewart of Godwin, Frances Callis of Clinton and Annette McDuffie of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Holly Quartman, Zeb Bass, Marie Baker, Rebecca Bass, Emily Bass and Matthew Bass; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service, and other times at the home of Kenny and Bridgette Bass.
The family asks that memorials be made to Mount Elam Baptist Church Youth Program, 2211 Mt. Elam Church Road, Roseboro, NC 28382.
Arrangements are by Skinner & Smith Funeral Home in Dunn.
