Born in Manchaug, Mass., he was a son of the late Felix and Marie Louise (Renaud) Bessette. He had been a pin drafter at the Woonsocket Dye Co., and several other area textile mills for many years before retiring. He was an Army veteran of World War II, and a life member of the Harnois Barnabe and Arel AM-VETS Post 7. He was a member of the Christian Group and the Mount Vernon Club. He leaves his caretaker, Laurette Allard of Woonsocket; and several nieces and nephews
