He was a native of Person County. Mr. Bass had found 13 years of matrimonial happiness with the late Sally Harris Bass, from 1978 until 1990. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2002, at Siloam Baptist Church with the Rev. Vaughn Brayboy officiating. Burial will be in the Bass Family Cemetery. Survivors include his brothers, Joel Bass, of Mebane, and Arnie Bass, of Colorado Springs, Col.; his sister, Faye Bass, of Durham; sister-in-law, Dr. Ann Bass, of Mebane; three nephews; two nieces; several great-nephews and great-nieces, and a host of other relatives.
