Frank G. Bassett
Frank Glasgow Bassett, 67, a lifelong resident of Coleman Station, died unexpectedly Monday, July 17, at his home. He was born in Coleman Station August 11, 1899, the son of the late William Hopkins and Matilda Glasgow Bassett. He owned and operated a dairy farm until his retirement several years ago.
Mr. Bassett was a brother and a past master of the Webotuck Lodge F.&A.M., Millerton and had been assessor for the Town of North East.
He is survived by his sister, Mrs. (Elizabeth) Morell Crawford, East Wolfeboro, New Hampshire; two nephews and one niece.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Valentine Funeral Home, Millerton, at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 20, with the Reverend George Bach, of the Congregational Church, Sharon, officiating. Interment will be in the Oblong Cemetery, Coleman Station.
Masonic services were held Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Those who so desire may contribute to the Oblong Cemetery Association in care of George Culver.
