Merless Bass
WINDSOR - Services for Merless Bass, 78 will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 3rd, at Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, with burial in Windsor First Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Mr. Bass died Monday.
Born in Sampson County, NC, Mr. Bass was a son of the late Allen and Virginia Jackson Bass. He was a retired truck driver having worked for FCX Fertilizer Company in Clinton, NC. Mr. Bass was an avid fisherman.
Survivors include daughters, Ann Bass and Debra Frye, sons, Ray, Larry and Wayne Bass, a sister, Hazel Tindall and brothers, Bernice, Milton and Tilton Bass, thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and his beloved dog named "Rotten." Mr. Bass was predeceased by brothers, Percy and Ellis Bass and a grandchild, Jeffery Stone.
