Marion A. Bassett
Visitation for Marion A. Bassett, 85, of Belvidere since 1999,
formerly of Lombard since 1937, will be from 11 a.m. until the time of
services at 1 p.m. Saturday, at the Leonard Memorial Home, Ltd., 565 Duane
St., Glen Ellyn. The Rev. Donald Romano will officiate. Interment will be in
Forest Hill Cemetery, Glen Ellyn.
Born Oct. 18, 1919, in Chicago, she passed away Sunday, Jan. 16, 2005,
at her home.
Marion was a 1937 graduate of York High School, Elmhurst, and a 1964
graduate of the Moody Bible Institute, Chicago. She was a homemaker who
enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, and traveling. She was also an anim
lover.
Survivors include her loving husband, the Rev. Gerald D. "Jerry"
Bassett Jr. of Belvidere; dear son, Gerald D. III (Judith) of Wheaton;
cherished grandchildren, Jennifer (William) Walter of Wheaton, Gerald D.
Bassett IV of Warrenville, Pamela (James) Wall of Wheaton and Timothy (Leslee)
Bassett of Winfield; and great-grandchildren, Chris, Meghan, Scott, Taylor,
J.J. and Danny.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Moody Bible Institute,
Stewardship Fund, c/o: Oak Park River Forest High School or the Peoria
Woodriff High School App.
