Llewellyn Noble Bass, age 62, departed this life on Saturday May 16, 2020 at Hackley Hospital.
Lou was born on October 18, 1957 in Muskegon, Michigan to the late Millard S. and Wilhelmina L. Bass. He was raised and educated in Muskegon Michigan. Lou attended Muskegon Catholic Central Schools. He continued his education at Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he enjoyed a full football scholarship. Lou graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business.
As we all know, Lou was a diehard sports fan, and it did not matter the sport. He would even cheer for a game of golf. Lou would take the time to teach or play an intellectual game of chess, with anyone interested. Lou never met a stranger, as he gave each person he met a kind word and good laugh. Lou loved his church and was a faithful member, at Second Timothy Baptist Church with Pastor Isaac Bass.
He is leaving in God's care his sons, Gregory D. Chapman, and Demetri J. Chapman; his daughters, Shanika N. Chapman, Judi L. Chapman; grandson, Daeion Q. Johnson; his sister, Jacqueline Vines of Muskegon; two brothers, Phonozell S. Bass of New Orleans, and Ronnie R. Bass of Muskegon. His second mom, Aunt Willow Dean Allen (Muskegon), Aunt Pearl Mallory (Muskegon); four Uncles Bobby Bass (NC), Rev. Mitchell Bass (Sonya)(TX), Pastor Isaac Bass (Carolyn), Joe Bass of (Muskegon); and two special cousins, Jill R. Matthews (Muskegon), and Glen Pigged (Muskegon). Lou leaves a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and his bus family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Milliard Jr., Ernest and Oliver; great niece, Keilandrea Duncan; and three uncles Noby (Ella) Bass, Orivil (Ethel) Bass, and Bernie Allen.
