Ladoskia ?Docky? Carmichael Bass

Lodoskia "Docky" Carmichael Bass, 88, of Bahama, died Friday, June 11, 2021. Born in Rocky Mount, she was the daughter of the late Randolph Carmichael and Carrie Robinson Carmichael. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Walter Bass and her brother, Joe "Toad" Carmichael.
Docky was a long time resident of Bahama and was in the antique business with her husband for many years before his passing. She was a homemaker who loved her family and community. She loved watching hummingbirds, deer, and eating Little Debbie pastries. The Bahama community was a source of joy and strength during her 50 years of living there.
Surviving are her children: Frances Tucker and husband, Rick of Hillsborough and Pam Weaver and husband, Ken of Bahama; one brother, Randy Carmichael and wife, Bobby; three grandchildren: Carl Roberts, Carrie Miller and Landon Weaver; step-grandson, Mike Tucker; five great-grandchildren; and many much-loved cousins, nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held 2 PM Sunday, June 13, 2021 at the Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Pastor Eric Miller officiating.
The family would like to thank Eno Pointe Assisted Living for their care and kindness over the past two years. They have been such a blessing, not only to Docky, but also her family.
