(Bob) Bass, 75, who died suddenly at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. Services were in charge of his pastor, the Rev. Morris S. Hollifield, assisted by a former pastor, the Rev. E.G. Willis. Burial was in Forest Hill Cemetery in Nashville. He was born on July 26, 1881, son of the late Isaac Bass and Louise Abernathy Bass of Nash County. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Addie Lawrence Jenkins Bass of the home; one son, Ralph Bass of Spring Hope; two daughters, Mrs. A.K. Dickens of Castalia, and Mrs. Thomas Brantley of Momeyer; and five grandchildren. He was engaged in extensive farming operations and was a senior member of the Bass Brothers Mercantile Co. in Momeyer. He had been associated with Bass Brothers from 1912 until 1946. A charter member of the Momeyer Baptist Church, he also belonged to the Modern Woodmen of the World in Momeyer.
