Obituary Notes
Mrs. Helmina Hebert, wife of Arthur Bessette, 283 Remsen Street, died last night at the Cohoes Hospital after an illness of five weeks. She was born at St. John’s, Quebec, Canada, but had resided in Cohoes for the last 62 year. Mrs. Bessette was a member of St. Joseph’s Church and the Union of Prayer Society of the parish. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Miss Theresa Bessette; a son, Pvt. Paul E. Bessette, Camp Santa Anita, Cal.; two sisters, Mrs. Alfred Barsalou and Miss Alice Hebert; five brothers, Henry R., Dr. Raoul A., Louise E., City Clerk Eugene M., of Cohoes, and George A. of Lansingbur. The funeral will be held from the A. G. Boivin’s Sons Funeral Home, 70 Congress Street, at 9 a.m. Friday and from St. Joseph’s Church at 9:30 a.m., where a solemn requiem mass will be sung at a time to be announced late. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford.
