Harrolyn Baker Anderson Bass
Memorial services for Harrolyn Baker Anderson Bass will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, November 12, 2004, at the First Presbyterian Church in El Reno, OK. Dr. Mark Heaney, pastor, will officiate. Services are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home. Mrs. Bass died on Tuesday, November 9, 2004, at Park View Hospital. She was born on April 17, 1919, in Cooper, Texas to her parents: Carter and Alwilda (Baker) Anderson. She attended the Paris Junior College in Paris, Texas, receiving her Associate Degree. She married James Ernest Bass, Jr. on April 19, 1937, and they made their home in El Reno in 1945. Harrolyn was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Chapter M P.E.O., Athenaeum, Park View Auxiliary Pink Ladies, Mobile Meals, and the Hosts Mentoring Program. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: James Ernest Bass, Jr.; and daughter in law: Judy (Lovelace) Bass. She is survived by her three sons: James C. Bass & wife Kay, Jerry Bass, and Andy Bass & wife Linda, all of Oklahoma City; her grandchildren: Ginny Groves, Michael Bass, Whit Bass, Gabe Bass, and Katie Bass; and her great grandchildren: Collin Groves, Rachael Groves, Sam Bass, and Sarah Cate Bass. The family has suggested memorials be made to the El Reno Carnegie Library, 215 E. Wade, El Reno, OK 73036, or any other charity of choice.
