  Notes	OBITUARY - Gael J. Bassett Tuesday, 9 Aug 1994 Shelbyville native Gael J. Bassett, 88, Evansville, died Saturday at Welborn Hospital, Evansville. Born March 17, 1906, in Shelbyville, he was the son of Andrew a Ursula (Friday) Bassett. On June 24, 1934, he married Dorothy Fox, who survives. Mr. Bassett worked for Indiana Bell Telephone for 40 years, retiring in 1969. He was a member of the Waldron Masonic Lodge No. 217 and the Simpson United Methodist Church, Evansville. Survivors include two daughters, Alice Anne Jones, Indianapolis, and Nancy L. Pace, Phoenix; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Murphy Funeral Home with the Rev. James H. Farnsley officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funer home. Masonic services will be held after visitation.
