      Bassett vs Bassett
Flavilla Bassett of Dover, Libellant versus William A. Bassett of Dover,
      Libellee:

For a great many years, ever since their marriage, Flavilla Bassett has
labored hard, has taken boarders, and with the proceeds of said labor h
supported the family, not from compulsion, but willingly, so that said William
could use his wages to buy and pay for a home. Said William A. Bassett now
owns a house and lot worth at least fifteen hundred dollars and has money at
interest to an amount at least of two thousand dollars. Said William Bassett,
regardless of his marriage vows and duty, has for the past year been ve
abusive to said Flavilla, used violent, abusive and vulgar language and
otherwise ill-treated and abused her. During the year last past, said William
Bassett has been guilty of open lewd conduct with certain lewd women.
Libellant prays that she may be divorced, said divorce being the fault of her
husband, that she may have dower in his real estate, and reasonable alimony,
      out of his estate.
