Estaline T. Bass, 92
CLINTON ? Mrs. Estaline Tew Bass, 92, died Saturday, July 6, 2013.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, at Hopewell United Methodist Church, Newton Grove, with the Rev. Carol Dean and Dr. Dennis Sheppard officiating. Interment will be in Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery, Newton Grove.
Ms. Bass was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church, was a teacher in the Hobbton School District for 37 years, a member of Westbrook Grange and a member of the Newton Grove Eastern Star and Delta Kappa Gamma.
She was preceded in death by husband, Etheridge Bass; parents, Dallas and Bettie Tew, and brothers, Carlton and Charles Tew.
She is survived by daughters, Janet and husband Wilson Lee of Four Oaks, and Debra and husband Tim Westbrook of Four Oaks; grandchildren, Emily and Loren Thornton and Jenny and Porter Jones; great-grandchild, Elizabeth Aldon Thornton; sisters Reavis Tew of Autryville and Betty Porter of Roseboro.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, July 8, from 6 to 8 p.m.
