  Notes	Find-a-Grave Obituary Emmagene Moncus Bassett Emmagene Moncus Bassett, 88, of Columbus, GA, died Thursday, December 22, 2011 at her home. Cryptside funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Chapel of The Pines Mausoleum in Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend Richie Farrow officiating. Mrs. Bassett was born December 17, 1923 in Clay County, AL, daughter of the late Richard Hoyt and Clara McClain Moncus. She retired from civil service after many years of service as a secretary. Mrs. Bassett was also a member of Harvest Faith Community Church. Her presence will be missed daily, but her sweet spirit will live forever in our hearts. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bassett was preceded in death by her loving husband, Hubert Lee Bassett and one son, Terry H. Bassett. Survivors include two sons, Tommy L. Bassett of Columbus, GA, and Michael F. Bassett of Montgomery, AL; one brother, Jimmy L. Moncus of Cragford, AL; two sisters, Ila M. Caldwell, and Janice McVay both of Cragford, AL; five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
