She was born in Coalmont on May 7, 1930 to the late Preston and Esther (Brown) Anderson. She was a dedicated homemaker and a devoted member of Cowan First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Edwene was preceded in death by her husband, James Arthur Bass. She is survived by her son, Arthur R. Bass of Murfreesboro. Visitation will be from 12-1 pm on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Cowan First Baptist Church. Graveside Services will immediately follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens with Rev. L.Z. Johnson officiating.
