Destinee Ashlyn Bassett (Picture included)
HYANNIS - Destinee Ashlyn Bassett age 31 passed away on September 12, 2019. She was born and raised in Hyannis Massachusetts she was a life long area resident.
Destinee spent happier days watching sports with her father, long daily walks with her mother, she loved the outdoors camping and jet skiing. Destinee took pride in helping the homeless and people less fortunate than her she was a beautiful and gracious young lady that put everyone before herself. She knew how to make you laugh with her crazy sense of humor, she was the Sunshine on a rainy day, Destinee cherished the time spent with family. Most of all, Destinee was a force to be reckoned with. She attended Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School and did health care for many years.
She is survived in death by her father John Bassett, mother Brenda Cugno, beloved son Damon Pina, many brothers and sisters Kayleigh Basset, Randall Newell 3rd, Keith Newell, John Bassett Jr, Journie Bassett, Lily Bergman, step brother Josh Bergman, Nicole and Nicholas Barrett, Rani and Sean Mulcahy, as well as many Aunts and Uncles.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents Lawrence Bassett of North Carolina, John Shipman of Missouri and Susan Cugno of South Yarmouth Massachusetts.
She is pre deceased by her Grandmother Patricia Thomas who passed in 1990, brother Matthew Bassett who died in 1994 and grandfather Gary Cugno who passed in 2010.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday September 29, 2019 from 2 to 4 pm at Doane Beal and Ames, 160 West Main St, Hyannis, Ma followed by a memorial service at 4 pm.
