  Notes	The Roanoke Times, Virginia, 7 Oct 1991 Sammie N. Bassett Sammie Nelson Bassett, age 76, of 713 Fourth Street, N.E., died Sunday, October 6, 1991, in Pulaski Community Hospital. Born in Pulaski, May 19, 1915, she was the daughter of the late J. Frederick Nelson and Jettie Lyon Nelson. She was precedd in death by her husband, Jabe Noel Bassett, and a son, Robert L. Bassett. Surviving are four daughters, Rosalie Collier, Mrs. Doug (Rosanne) Wilson, Mrs. Ronald B. (Linda) Hall, all of Pulaski; Mrs. Al (Barbara) Roberts, Cameron, Texas; one son, James N. Bassett, San Antonio, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. from Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Patrick Coffey officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Visiting will be any time after 1:00 p.m. Monday. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Monday at the Thomas M. Seagle and Sons Funeral Home, Pulaski.
