Mrs. Alzena Hatter Bassett
Died Sunday, Dec. 11, 1977, at John Sealy Hospital, Galveston, Tex. She was a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Galveston. Body at Strode-Armstrong Mortuary, 2728 Ball St., Galveston. Wake and religious services at Jerusalem Baptist Church, Galveston, at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. A.S. Johnson. Survived by her husband, Alex Bassett, two sons, Leon and Elbe Bassett, one daughter, Leola Bassett, all of Galveston; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Velma Hatter, Baton Rouge; a number of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
