      Janyn L. Bassett, 55, of Macungie, died Sunday, January 15, 2006 in St. Lukes Hospital, Allentown Campus. She was the wife of David L. Bassett. They observed their 33rd wedding anniversary in October. Born in Drexel Hill, she was the daughter of Bertram L. and Janette H. (Huddleston) Johnson of Breinigsville. She was an administrative assistant at Applied Separations, Allentown, the past five years. Prior to that, she was an administrative assistant at Rodale Press, Emmaus, for eleven years. She was a member of Zion Lehigh Lutheran Church, Alburtis. She was a member of Emmaus Junior Womens Club. She was a volunteer at the Trexlertown Veledrome. Janyn enjoyed playing Mah Jongg and Bunko. Survivors: Husband; parents; son, Bryan J. and his wife, Nicole L., of Macungie; brother, Dr. Bertram L. of Lancaster; sister, Jennifer J., wife of Maynard Stitzer of Temple; three grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Charles. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, in the church, 8291 Spring Creek Road, Alburtis. Call 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in Carl F.       Janyn L. Bassett of Macungie, formerly of Drexel Hill, died January 15, 2006 in St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown Campus. She was 55.
      She was born in Drexel Hill, daughter of Bertram and Janette Huddleston. She was employed as an administrative assistant at Applied Separations, Allentown, for the past five years. She was a member of Zion Lehigh Lutheran Church, Alburtis. She was a member of Emmaus Junior Women's Club and was volunteer at the Trexlertown Veledrome. She enjoyed playing Mah Jongg and Bunko.
      She is survived by her widower, David L. Bassett; her son, Bryan J. and his wife, Nicole, of Macungie; her brother, Dr. Bertram L. of Lancaster; her sister, Jennifer J., wife of Maynard Stitzer of Temple; and three grandchildren. Her son, Charles, predeceased her.
      Services were January 19th in the church at 8291 Spring Creek Road, Alburtis.
      Funeral arrangements were by the Carl F. Schmoyer Funeral Home, 8926 Brookdale Road, P.O. Box 190, Breinigsville, Pennsylvania 18031-0190.
