Elery Douglas Livengood
WALLBURG ? Mr. Elery ?Jim? Douglas Livengood, 75, died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002, at Forsyth Medical Center.
Mr. Livengood was born March 18, 1927, in Forsyth County, a son of the late Wilson and Edna Livengood.
For 42 years he was employed with Carolina Steel, retiring in 1989. He served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Livengood was married Dec. 31, 1947, to Doris Bassett. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Doris B. Livengood, of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Judy Weavil, and husband Darrell of Wallburg; three grandchildren, Brian Weavil and wife, Emily, Shane Weavil and wife, Jennifer, and Chris Weavil; three great-grandchildren, Tyler, Christian and Allison Weavil; and a brother, Clyde Livengood, of Florida.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Darrell Greene. The body will remain at J.C> Green & Sons Funeral Home, 10301 N. NC Highway 109 (Wallburg Chapel) and the family will be at the funeral home from 6 to 8 this evening.
