The Bridgeport Farmer, of last evening, says that the name of the victim of the recent Providence abortion case is Laura C. Tomlinson, a daughter of the late James Tolimson, of Derby, and the man is said to be Dickerman Bassett, of Birmingham, well-known in this city. The Farmer says he has left for parts unknown.

Dickerman Bassett, of Derby, the seducer of Miss Laura C. Tomlinson, who died recently at Providence from the effects of an abortion, has been arrested in New York, the detectives having identified him by means of a very peculiar breast-pin which he wore, and which is without a duplicate in the country.

The Coroner's Jury, who has been investigating the death of the Connecticut school mistress, Laura C. Tomlinson, who died at Providence, Rhode Island, on the 11th alt., from an abortion, returned a verdict on Monday, in accordance with the facts. The girl's seducer, Dickerman N. Bassett, of Birmingham, Connecticut, is still at liberty, notwithstanding the report to the contrary.
