Donis Bass Duncan
Funeral services for Mrs. Donis Duncan, 85, of St. Joseph, will be held at 11:00 AM, on Thursday, October 8, 2020, in the chapel of Young?s Community Memorial Funeral Home, with Bro. Larry Foster and Bro. Ricky Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Monclova Cemetery, under the direction of Young?s Community Memorial Funeral Home-Winnsboro, LA.
Mrs. Duncan was born on June 30, 1935 in Lake Providence, LA to the union of Monroe Bass and Lula Patt Bass, and passed from this life on October 6, 2020 at her home in St. Joseph, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel ?Rip? Duncan; sisters, Girly Sanderson and Sally Brunies; and brothers, Willie Bass, John R. Bass, and Clifton Bass.
Survivors left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Lisa Duncan Mize and her husband Terry Mize, Jr. of St. Joseph, LA, and Teresa Duncan Fletcher and her husband Billy Fletcher, Jr. of St. Joseph, LA; grandchildren, Lori Bratton, Leya Bryan and husband Al, Beth Vinson and husband Dale, John Lamar Rhodes and wife Marcie; great grandchildren, Callie Arnold, Ella Grace Bratton, Alivia Bryan, Dyllen Bryan, Daegan Bryan, Taylor Ann Vinson, Ashlynn Vinson, Matti Vinson and Gage Rhodes; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kiley Sanders, John Lamar Rhodes, Terry Mize, Jr, Billy Fletcher, Dale Vinson, and Al Bryan.
The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday morning from 10:00 AM ? 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
