Warren P. Bassett
Bassett, Warren P., 76, a resident of the Oklahoma City metro area for over 60 years, passed away February 4, 1999. He was born July 22, 1922, in Purcell, Oklahoma, to Clyde & Zora Bassett. He worked for numerous years in auto sales. He also served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the Rancho Village Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his wife, Mickey in 1987. Survivors include son, Buster of Edmond; daughters, Vickey Thornton of Del City, Navajean Smith of Oklahoma City and Janice Smith of Moore; companion, Evelyn Stevens of Norman; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 6, 1999, at the South Colonial Chapel.
