DEATH & BUR.: Obituary in the Star Valley Independent, Fri. 10 Dec 1954, p. 1 - Alma Bassett, 78, succumbed after a lingering illness at his home in Osmond on Dec 2, 1954. He was born in Providence, Utah on June 24, 1876 the son of Loran Elias and Emma Durfee Bassett. . . . He was married to Sarah Jane Harmon on Sept 2, 1902 at Logan, Utah. For ten months they lived at Beaver Dam, Utah, after which they moved to Fairview. Later they moved to Osmond, where they have made their home since. He was a skilled carpenter . . . Funeral Services were held at the Osmond Chapel at 1:00 pm on Dec 7, 1954. . . . Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements were by the Schwab Mortuary.
