She was retired from Baptist-Princeton Hospital. Mrs. Carr was a member of Sandusky First Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband; Newton J. Carr; parents; Less and Ester Bassett; four brothers; eight sisters; great grandson, Andrew Newton Carr. She is survived by her three sons; Randall (Martha) Carr of Dora; Gerald (Teresa) Carr of Sandusky; and Steve (Pam) Carr of Warrior; two grandsons; six granddaughters; three great grandsons and six great granddaughters. A Celebration of Life will be held at Crestview Memorial Funeral Home in Adamsville, Alabama, on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Herman Pair officiating, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Gardens.
