  Notes	Augusta Chronicle, April 25, 1960 G.B. Bassett Sr. EHRHARDT, S.C. – George Benjamin Bassett Sr., 76, of near Ehrhardt died Sunday in an Orangeburg hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Bamberg County, the son of Richard Capers and Susanna Williams Bassett. He was a retired farmer and a member of St. John’s Baptist Church. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Monday at St. John’s Baptist Church near Ehrhardt, with the Rev. R.W. Hollis officiating. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Pearl O’Quinn Bassett; one son, G.B. Bassett Jr., Fairfzx; one daughter, Mrs. John M. Winn, Allendale; four sisters, Mrs. D.C. Sellers, Columbia; Mrs. Dell Carroll and Mrs. Lewis Creech, both of Blackville and Miss Mamie Bassett, Ehrhardt and two brothers, Henry and Dewey Bassett, Ehrhardt.
