Mary passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021 at McLaren Bay Region with her family by her side at the age of 74 years. She was born on November 9, 1946 in Bay City to the late Genevieve (Lemuel) Bayliss. She was married Robert Bassett in June of 1967 and he preceded her in death. Mary enjoyed going to the casino and loved being with her family especially her nieces and nephews.
Mary is survived by her siblings, Robert (Doris) McKee, Dennis McKee, Mike (Lois) McKee, Jody (Jeff) Nashatka and Tamara (Ron) Butterfield and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Gary McKee; nephew and godson, Brent LaFramboise and special aunt, Judy Ostash.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at the Gephart Funeral Home from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. We are currently still under the governor?s executive order of social distancing and limited to 25 visitors in the chapel at one time. You may experience a wait while paying your respects, face coverings must be worn. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Struble, Dr. Levandowski and the staff at McLaren Bay Region 5 East for the wonderful care they gave Mary.
