Mrs. Agnes Bassett
Mrs. Agnes Miller Bassett, wife of William Bassett, died in her 57th year on Saturday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Sweeting. She had been in poor health for some time. The immediate cause of death, however, was intestinal grippe.
Mrs. Bassett, a life-long resident of Amagansett, was the daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Nathan Miller.
Rev. C.B. Scoville conducted funeral services at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Sweeting. Burial took place at the Oak Lawn Cemetery.
Besides her parents and husband the deceased is survived by four children, Mrs. Joseph Zenger, Mrs. John Sweeting, Reginald Bassett of Amagansett, and Lloyd Bassett of Sag Harbor; three sisters, Mrs. Ferdinand Coburn of Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Orson Merrills, Mrs. Victor Stolberg; three brothers, Howard Miller, N. Filmore Miller, and Ira Miller of Hempstead.
