  Notes	The East Hampton Star, East Hampton, N.Y., October 5, 1972 William L. Bassett Jr. William Lloyd Bassett Jr., 73, of Madison Street, Sag Harbor died on Sept. 30, after a long illness, at Southampton Hospital. A self-employed carpenter, he had lived in Sag Harbor for 50 years. He was born on Aug. 25, 1899, in Amagansett. His parents were William L. Bassett Sr., who survives, and the former Agnes Miller. Mr. Bassett is survived also by his wife, the former Josephine O?Hallahan, whom he married in 1924; by a brother, Reginald, of Arizona; and by two sisters, Mrs. Maude Zenger, of East Hampton, and Mrs. Cora Seeting, of Amagansett. A prayer service was held Monday evening at the Yardley Funeral Home in Sag Harbor. On Tuesday morning, a mass of the resurrection was offered at St. Andrew?s Church, of which Mr. Bassett had been a member. Burial followed in St. Andrew?s Cemetery.
